6:30 p.m > 8:30 p.m
Franck Vigroux, Ben Miller, Félicie d’Estienne d’Orves et Kurt d’Haeseleer
We invite you to a genuine four-hour artistic obstacle course in various areas of the MAC in Créteil – all completely free!
From 6.30 to 8.30 p.m., you can discover several installations and shows in the process of being created. Some are works in progress, others reconstructions of experiences or works that are almost finished. The programme includes Deep Are the Woods by Éric Arnal Burtschy, a dancerless choreography for light, smoke and immersed spectators; Black Out by the In Vivo collective, a visual multisensorial drama circuit; Unfold by Ryochi Kurokawa, an immersive sidereal installation; Landscape #1 by Felix Luque Sanchez; and a mysterious installation with a levitating rock…
The circuit also includes a reconstruction of the project One Life Remains VS La Gabrielle, the result of a nine-month residence by a collective of visual artists and game designers in the artistic unit, “Couleurs et creation”, of the mental handicap centre La Gabrielle-MFPass. A productive fight against prejudices concerning handicap and video games has given rise to a playful and hypersensitive experiment to be watched and experienced. This is also the purpose of a film by Cyril Bérard, which follows this long-term work, its dazzling moments and dead ends, its emotional intensity and its unexpected outcomes. At the same time as the performance itself, you can discover an initial cut of this valuable documentary.
At 8.30 p.m., the main event of the evening will be the world creation Ruines, a show that is eagerly awaited because it brings together an ‘artistic dream team’ of musician Franck Vigroux, visual artist Félicie d’Estienne d’Orves, video artist Kurt d’Haeseleer (Guy Cassiers’ travelling companion), dancers Yuta Ishikawa and Azusa Takeuchi, dramatist Michel Simonot, the sounds of Carlos Duarte, the lighting of Perrine Cado, and Detroit singer Ben Miller, a member of Mike Kelley’s legendary group Destroy All Monsters! Ruines is a musical theatre show halfway between performance, temporary installation and video-opera: a mixture of different writings (music, video, body and sculpture) in a highly immersive stage dimension. This comprehensive work with human figures and moving plastic objects explores contemporary ruins, where naturally, we rediscover the ghosts of Detroit…
