Ben Frost © Salar Kheradpejouh
October 4th, 2017 – Trianon, Paris (18)
Free admission subject to availability
On the programme: Ben Frost’s new show, Parquet’s trance, Walter Dean’s agitated performance, Julien Desprez’s free guitar, and Pascal Lièvre’s philosophical aerobics!
Launch at the Trianon of 6 months of digital creativity in Île-de-France!
Némo is plentiful, as is its opening programme, with artists supported by Arcadi that are a must-see as well as a delightful headliner!
⇢ To get you started, why not try philosophical aerobics on the theme of serendipity by Pascal Lièvre?
⇢ Total immersion to follow with Acapulco Redux by Julien Desprez, a virtuoso free guitarist that controls lights, strobe lights and scenographical surprises with his instrument… You will find him later on in the Biennial (Gentilly et Pantin) with his group SNAP.
⇢ Another artist that is very present in Némo, Guillaume Marmin ((whose installation Licht, Mehr Licht ! is to be discovered in the exhibition Les Faits du hasard at CENTQUATRE-PARIS). Alongside the musician Jean-Baptiste Cognet, his Walter Dean project is a splendid audio-visual performance, at first ambient then very agitated.
⇢ And why not move your posterior to Parquet‘s, trance, 5 musicians from the experimental scene led by Seb Brun, with the Convertisseur project that combines the culture of Berlin clubs with the world of 80s and 90s addictive video games?
⇢ And finally, the comeback of the immense Ben Frost, for the premiere of his new audio-visual show and in view of the release of his new album, The Centre Cannot Hold, produced by Steve Albini that will come out just 5 days before the concert! The person who closed the 15/16 Biennial with his previous show will therefore open the 17/18 Biennial, with new sounds and a new stage design conceived by the unmissable Marcel Weber, aka MFO. Welcome !
