#mixed-reality opera We Who Live Under Heaven The Performance Corporation
Adventurers in the world of immersive technologies, The Performance Corporation is a creative company that fuses opera, electronic music, theater, and mixed reality. The focal point of the experience is the mournful song of a being held in captivity – composed by Roger Doyle, the father of electroacoustic music in Ireland, directed by Jo Mangan and performed by countertenor Morgan Crowley with mixed reality design by Ciara Del Grosso Bates – which invites audiences to imagine a world where connection transcends difference.

#exhibition illusions Rediscovered New utopias in the digital age
In a world revolutionized by digital technology, illusion can take on a critical, speculative and poetic role. The thirty-some works in this exhibition explore utopias old and new, weaving together artificial intelligence, regenerated nature, and positive science fiction.
Each work pushes back the limits of perception and reality, revealing alternative worlds where humans coexist with nature and machines. We discover immersive paintings depicting figures that break into song, image-generating plants, and fictions that revive the past and visualize the future.
The artists ponder the relationship between the living world, technology, and imagination, connecting science and myth, memory and data. The utopias found here are not futuristic visions but hybrid spaces that oscillate between nostalgia and speculation. Thought to be lost, these illusions are revealed by digital technology in another world – our own!
