Working at the intersection of art and science, French and Canadian artist Caroline Corbasson (2025 Prix Art [ ] Collector winner) explores the place of humanity in the universe through the prism of scientific visions and collectives in astrophysics and cosmology.

The artist’s work find parallels between the infinitely large and the infinitely small through a quasi-scientific documentary approach paired with a sensitive exploration. She draws our attention to the existence of entities and phenomena on a scale of space and time so vast or so minute that it defies comprehension.
Rejecting divisions between disciplines, Corbasson experiments with various mediums and scientific fields, including astronomy, astrophysics, geology and botany. Her work also features organic materials such as charcoal and fusain.
