Artificial intelligence has made generative creations accessible and commonplace. Using code and archives, four artists have seized on this new development to explore an algorithmic approach in which chance and control combine to invent vibrant, striking works.

The culmination of decades of technical innovations, generative art has been propelled to the forefront thanks to the web, blockchain and computing power. In this group exhibition, Alexis André, Julien Espagnon, William Mapan and Florian Zumbrunn wield code as a tool for creation intertwining human and machine elements.
Long solely the domain of specialists, generative creation has become more widespread via AI. The four artists have devised an algorithmic process by which the code becomes the master, without incorporating any preexisting data. Drawing from archives, they invite audiences to take part in a creative process where computing leads to unexpected results. Rejecting standardization, they redefine digital art with poetry and precision.
