Glass objects are central to the hypnotic musical and visual performance MODEMA Cycles – a mix of lights, modular synthesizer and movement. François Delamarre manipulates matter and media to transform glass reflections into modulated sounds.
Cycles have been part of the living world since the dawn of time: heartbeats, night and day, the seasons… MODEMA Cycles echoes these cycles, from the start of a unicellular organism’s life to our bustling metropolises, revealing how their tempo continues to rise in contemporary societies.
