This is Unreal 

This Is Unreal explores a new frontier between dance, music and theater, which questions truth in the age of artificial intelligence, clones and deepfakes, as a means to create a new dramaturgical language. 

In this solo performance, Liz Santoro navigates a wide variety of text and movement materials, inhabiting a world where the distinction between human and machine, real and virtual, authentic and synthetic becomes increasingly blurred. Is it merely a threat, or could it be an opportunity to reinvent ourselves? 

Liz Santoro and Pierre Godard collaborate closely to create generative and algorithmic choreographic performances that aim to challenge the natural patterns of our attention. A fascinating exploration of our relationship with true and false, and creativity in a world of machines.
