Pergola + Perspection2

The "Avant Seine de Colombes" is a mecca for artistic risk-taking, proposing avant-garde works outside established formats involving aesthetic hybridisation and the coming-together of different audiences. It will present the French premiere of Pergola by the Belgian architecture collective LAb. In each of its monumental projects, this group develops the idea of an artistic work that fulfils a useful function in the urban space. So, a six-by-six metre pergola autonomously "manages" the movement of its square tiles, whose shadows are cast on the ground by the sun during the day, and by artificial light at night. Ancient Chinese shadow puppetry and solar clocks meet cybernetics,

And now we reach the third and final evening of the Biennial with the Ensemble Intercontemporain, as ever inspired by the meeting between musical composition and video creation, but this time involving a kinetic sculpture. Alongside the works of Nietzsche and Hölderlin, the poet Antonin Artaud's work is one of the German composer Wolfgang Rihm's chief influences, particularly Le Théâtre de Séraphin, taken from Le Théâtre et son double. He turned it into first a vocal piece, then a purely instrumental concerto. The whole thing will become a complete show with help from the Dutch video artist collective 33 1/3. Ircam Live – Holly Herndon + Assimilation Process + Marco Donnarumma + Alex Augier

Holly Herndon has pursued a dazzling career since the 2013 Némo Festival to the acclaim of critics and audiences alike, simultaneously achieving sophistication in her creative registers, ease of access to her works, fundamental explorations of music and generosity onstage. She pursues an often concrete approach to music through the use of acousmatic recording. One of the factors that makes her music addictive is very simply her voice, as can be appreciated in her latest album, Platform. Assimilation Process, an electronic musician from Dresden, combines noise, drone, techno/industrial, experimental rhythm and dancefloor music into the same sound flow. Using the sound "rebuses" of recording sessions

We are delighted to present this remarkable contemporary opera, co-produced by Arcadi Île-de- France. There are several reasons for this. Firstly its music, of course: a spellbinding score where the writing for the voice is extremely intricate (with glissandi and portamenti that literally take us into an eerie world), together with its spatialisation and computerised treatment which are used exclusively to serve the narrative. Secondly, because the director of this production is Luis Nieto, well known to Némo regulars. A true magician with images, he is brilliant at making the incredible erupt onto the stage at any moment, with a video clip (the top groups

Until January 31, 2016 What is it? Prosopopaeiae is a stylistic device that consists of giving speech to an animal, inanimate object, dead person, personified thing, or abstraction When objects come to life… When the dead live again… When concepts take shape… The main source of inspiration behind this proposal is Philip K. Dick, the great paranoid visionary of contemporary literature, and in particular, the Dickian feeling that "something is wrong", that the world is not what it seems to be but a stage set, a trompe-l’oeil skilfully devised to deceive the human species. "Prosopopoeiae" will thus be the central theme running through the 2015
